With over 1,000 regular, associate, and student members, NC ASA is an active Chapter with a vibrant community and is one of the largest chapters of the ASA. NC ASA has several exciting events coming up and new\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\">initiatives<\/a>\u00a0being developed. These include\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\/leadership\">leadership<\/a>\u00a0development,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\/mentoring\">mentoring opportunities<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\/consultingconnections\">consulting connections<\/a>, our newly formed\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\/scholasticcouncil\">Scholastic Council<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\/industryinterests\">Industry Interests Group<\/a>, our newly launching\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\/studenttravelaward\">Student Travel Award<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/community.amstat.org\/northcarolina\/initiatives\/localiaison\">Local Liaisons<\/a>\u00a0for NC ASA events across NC, and our new and improved communication platforms including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NCAmStat\/\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0(@NCAmStat and join the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/1204577472975533\/\">Facebook Group<\/a>) and Twitter (@NC_ASA).<\/p>\n<p>NC ASA is excited to announce a Mentoring and Early Career Development Workshop being held Friday Nov 30th 2018 at SAMSI. Students and early-to-mid career professionals are welcome. The workshop is being developed with external mentoring professionals and materials. The workshop is being coordinated in conjunction with the\u00a0<b>NC ASA 2018 Fall Dinner<\/b>\u00a0and will include a chance to meet with ASA President Lisa LaVange.\u00a0<b>NC ASA Fall Dinner- Friday Nov 30th at 5:30pm<\/b>.
